Now we’re at number four on my list of Top 10 variables to Success in Making Money in any MLM/Home-Based Business: The Marketplace

I’m not going to spend too much time breaking this one down. It’s quite simple to understand. What type of marketplace are you trying to build your Home-based business/MLM opportunity? If you are building offline, are you in a marketplace where people are open-minded and progressive?

In my first MLM business I lived in an area of the country I would consider a challenge when it comes to new ideas and building business. There was an “old school” mentality of graduate from high school, get a good job, and stay there until you retire. There were very few people, based on my experience, in this city that ever thought about financial freedom or entrepreneurship. I would mention making money from home through owning a home-based business and people would freak out. Very few people had ever heard of anything like this and were more skeptical than any other group of people I’ve ever encountered. At that time, only one other state ranked lower in terms of activity for this MLM business.

I soon moved to a new city and state were things were completely different. People were more progressive and this city is one of the most culturally diverse and dynamic cities the country. Business moved a lot quicker, and there were many people who were open to the idea of network marketing ang making money from home.

Remember this, if you happen to live in a marketplace that is tough and hard to build business in, it doesn’t mean that you can’t have success. You just have to adjust your marketing strategies to fit with the environment and the thought processes of it’s people. Help open them up to new ideas about life. Find out what their dreams are, and help them realize that they can come true if they’re willing to break away from the mindset and ideas that have held them back in life. Become the maverick of your marketplace! Change is inevitable, don’t let it get away from you! Stay the course and success will come.

To your success,

Stacey
