Wealth Creation through MLM and Home-Based Businesses

Hello Folks,

 Today is April 16th the day after “tax day”. I’ve been speaking to many people who have shared their experience with me about this year’s tax season. Most of them complained about the fat check they had to send out to the IRS. With a slowing economy, this only hurt their pockets even more. There was a common theme for those who paid Uncle Sam, they all were employees and none of them were business owners.

When I was asked how much I paid, I simply answered truthfully, nothing! In fact I’m expecting a sizeable refund. They looked at me in disbelief and asked how this could be so. The simple answer was that I owned and made money in a home-based business.  Therefore I am eligible for what seems like an unlimited number of tax write-offs. They were perplexed to say the least.

Here’s what it comes down to. When you earn your income as an employee, you pay the government first in the form of taxes, then you get what’s left as your earnings. As a legitimate home-based business owner, you pay your expenses first, then the government.

This is one of the major benefits of owning a home-based business/MLM opportunity, tax relief! It amazes me how many people in the multi-level marketing industry are unaware of this! Since I market my home-based business online, I have the added benefit of writing off all my online marketing expenses.

Now there is a difference between saving money on your taxes by legitimately operating a business and doing it to avoid paying taxes. That’s called Tax Evasion! Don’t do it!

Let’s get back to business. Today I want to talk about different marketing strategies in the MLM/Direct Sales Industry. When it comes to direct sales there are two ways to market: Online and Offline. The main point to keep in mind is that they are essentially the same thing, just different form.

Your goal is to send a one-on-one message to your prospect. 

Online marketing strategies include:

New Media (which I covered in a previous blog)

Copywriting

Online advertising

PPC (pay-per-click)

Ezines 

Article submissions

Google adwords 

Website submission services

Offline marketing strategies include:

CD’s

DVD’s

Magazines

Brochures

Fliers

Classifieds

Special Reports

Meetings

Home parties

Etc…

Whatever strategy you choose to build your MLM/home-based business, there is one thing to remember. One strategy is not necessarily easier than another. They both require a lot of knowledge, patience, consistency, activity, and belief!

I foolishly believed that online marketing would be a cakewalk and that I wouldn’t have to do any of the undesirable work that’s involved in the offline world. I wanted to make money online in my home-based business with little effort. Silly me! While it is very different and more comfortable in many ways, online marketing has it’s share of challenges as well. 

Your goal is to develop relationships with people. Developing relationships with prospects in the offline world seems easily achievable right? Well it is in the online world too. What do you think I am doing with you all? I’m sure you all have heard that “exposure is everything” right? That’s absolutely true. I believe that he/she that does the most exposures and closes the most subsequent sales wins. This is everyones goal and as I said in my previous blog, not all systems are meant for everyone.

You must decide what’s best for your business but be prepared to work hard and treat it like a real business.

I’ll end with a question for you to ponder.

Who do you think will expose more people? A online marketer who is receiving tens of thousands of hits on his/her MLM/ home-based business websites a day (all over the world mind you) or an offline marketer who passed out 50 DVD’s, made 50 calls, did 25 3-ways, and held an opportunity meeting with 100 people, all in one day, of which only 15 were guests and of those 15, 12 joined the business and 10 quit within 2 weeks?

Hello Everyone,

 I want to take this time to thank all of you who have visited my site and have continued to come back. I like to believe that I am providing something of value that will help you in your MLM business.  However, I come to you all today to truly speak from my heart.

I am fully aware that there are many of you out there who are frustrated about your home-based business. I believe that all of you have put forth a sincere effort to build your business, the way your company has taught you to, for some time without the results you hoped for. Some of you tried for a few months, some for several years.  ( IF YOU HAVE NOT, LEAVE THIS SITE!)

There is much criticism and debate as to what constitutes a persons genuine effort to succeed in thier business. Does a person fail soley because they quit or do they quit because the try and try and continue to fail.? There are so many variables.

I started this blog after months and months of research about network marketing and online marketing. What I found amazed me and I wanted to share it with the whole world. The fact that there was another way to create tremendous success in MLM/Home-based businesses by marketing online was a breakthrough. I have had many of you thank me personally for my efforts.  I appreciate that.

I know that I have spoken about and promoted ideas that go against many marketers beliefs and practices. I am sure it has offended and will continue to offend people. That is in no way my intention. I believe in what I am doing.

Someone recently made a statement to me that suggested that I may be causing harm to other marketers by telling them not to follow the systems they are taught.  There are thousands of Multi-level marketing companies with thousands of systems out there. Some are great and some are terrible. Systems do work, but it depends on which system you use. Not every system is the most effective for everyone.

I believe that the person who is looking for the information that I have to share are the ones who will find me. Those who do and don’t agree with me will simply move on. (Google analytics proves this to be so)

Let me be transparent here. In order to be successful in this industry I know I need to be driven, motivated, coachable, confident, patient, persistent, consistent and knowledgeable. There are many areas that I am improving on and I belive that goes for most of us. I have never claimed to be the top money earner in my respective home-based business….YET. Nor that I am THE authority in online marketing or that I have made a fortune doing so….YET. Does that mean that I don’t have a voice and a right to express my opinion?

People have and always will be judgemental.  I encourage everyone who comes into contact with my site to take the time to read all the information that I am offering for FREE. Click all my links in my posts. Read, disect, poke holes in and scrutinize everything!

When you  market your business online, you can dramatically shorten the success curve by going after your Target Market. The term “target market” is an unfamiliar term in the MLM industry. MLM’ers are traditionally taught the “3-foot rule” which literally means to prospect any and everyone that is within 3 feet of you at all times, including family, friends and neighbors. If you’re a network marketer who has adopted and utilized this rule you have no doubt encountered some level of frustration. 

The 3-foot rule is not good “real world” sales and marketing. Springing up on unsuspecting people to ask them if they’re interested in making additional income seems harmless to some. But to others it’s nothing short of harrassment. It’s embarrasing when a complete stranger calls you a loser and tells you to go get “a real job”.  There are a few successes though. I have been successful in recruiting people that I didn’t know and approached while I “was out”. But out of the many that I have prospected at gas stations, restaurants, stores etc., Very few were ever interested in my companies products or opportunity.

To build a successful Network Marketing Company like a true professional requires a shift in philosophy about who you’re marketing to.

Your Target Market are individuals who are specifically interested in what you are offering. There are BILLIONS of people online who are looking for specific products, services or business opportunity. Those are they people you want to attract!

Wouldn’t you love to throw out that names list and stop harrassing total strangers?

The truth is, most of the highest paid Network Marketers in the industry are not the most smooth talking, charismatic  salespeople. They are regular people who know how to develop strong marketing systems that generate targeted, highly qualifed leads. They know how to attract their target market and how to effectively close the leads they generate.

Creating an effective online marketing system takes time, dedication and patience. However, with an effective system your Multi-level Marketing business will experience dramatic results! Mine has! There are many ways to attract prospects. But, the best way to attract prospects to your home-based business opportunity is to have a SOLUTION to a PROBLEM.
